Community C.H.E.W (Child Hunger Ending Workshop) is a nonprofit located in Jasper, IN that serves families in Dubois County. We host family nights throughout the year along with grocery games, emergency groceries, and supporting other organizations in fulfilling their mission. CHEW’s mission is to love, serve, feed, and inspire.

CHEW was created to fill the gap between summer breaks by offering a day camp on Thursdays. Since the year of establishment, Dubois County has evolved, and the mission of Camp CHEW, Community CHEW has shifted to a broader scope. We now provide various opportunities throughout the summer for fun family events, free grocery events, emergency grocery assistance as well as assisting other non-profit organizations in the fulfillment of their missions.
Fuel Club serves our children in need during the school months. Fuel Club provides groceries to students on Fridays so they have access to food over the weekend. Our Fuel Club currently serves one school: Forest Park Jr High
"As an old man walked the beach, he saw a boy picking up starfish and flinging them into the sea.
He asked the boy, "Why?"
The starfish would die if left stranded on the beach.
Confused, the old man said: "But the beach goes on for miles and there are thousands of starfish. You can't make a difference."
The boy looked at the starfish in his hand, and tossed it in the ocean.
We are able to serve the youth in our community thanks to generous community donors and caring volunteers.
